Who is the King of the Hill?
Posted On 11/18/2009 22:16:50 by knockout

Shane Carwin showed a lot of class when he said that Brock Lesnar should get all the support he needs, especially from the organization (UFC), his colleagues (the fighters) and the fans. While Brock Lesnar is still going under the knife to help fix a serious intestinal infection, many haters and critics had bashed him relentlessly, saying that he is hedging because he had met his match in Shane Carwin and that he was simply afraid of losing his title. In a show of true class and humble sportsmanship, Carwin was quick to state that Brock Lesnar is the legitimate champion and he became one by defeating a Hall of Famer, Randy Couture. To strip a champion of his belt because of a serious malady is just not right; we just have to wait and see how it all rides out in the end. In a custom essay I have read, further substantiated by independent researches and medical studies, severe intestinal infections can drain a lot out of a body and significantly sap strength and agility. And in this case, the illness could take its toll on anybody, even on a world-class fighter and super athlete like Brock Lesnar. Let's just hope that he recovers soon without damning repercussions after the series of operations.

But what if, knock on wood, Brock never fully recovers from his illness and stops fighting altogether? I firmly believe and insist that an interim title belt should be up for grabs by top contenders. But who are these top contenders? I believe that Shane Carwin is the top dog and the legitimate question is who should he fight for the title match. There's Junior Dos Santos who demolished everyone he has faced. Also, Frank Mir and Antonio Noguiera (if healthy), two of the perennial contenders for the crown. And let's not forget Cain Velasquez who steam-rolled his way among the top heavyweights of the game, his list of victims including Big Ben Rothwell.

I conclude that this formula would be the best way to solve this predicament: the winner of the Mir-Noguiera and the Santos-Velasquez fights should face each other and the victor after the bloody battles will ultimately face Shane Carwin for the coveted heavyweight title. If that doesn't work, nothing else will. And I'm sure the fans would love to see those fights. Speculation aside, I hope that Brock Lesnar recovers fully, gets back in shape and on top of his game because I would really love to see him defend his title against Shane Carwin. When I am not studying for exams, contributing to essay writing services for extra money and /or strength conditioning, I follow the latest news and updates in the mixed-martial arts world. I just hope that Dana White fixes all the mess soon because I, along with millions of screaming fans, are hungry for a bloody, epic battle. And the Forrest Griffin versus Tito Ortiz match just won't cut it.
